Am I going to have to be homeless because I want a pitbull?
I’m apartment/townhouse/condo/house rental searching and apparently there is no completely pet friendly places that I can find in Virginia beach, VA. My husband and I are stationed at NAS Oceana and we ARE getting a pitbull, we have a jack russel who grew up with and plays daily with an adorable pitbull that is close to two months younger. The pitbull is well trained and adores our dog, the owner is leaving the country for at least 6 months and was hoping that we would take him in, I understand the insurance reasoning behind it all, but the pit is much more well behaved than our dog & there is NO way I’m letting this puppy go to the pound to be put to sleep or bought by someone looking for a fighting dog. What can I do? Are there any rental establishments that are not against pitbulls?
I was looking through a couple of sites with pet friendly apartments…and got excited when I saw this one. lol It says no breed restrictions.

However, I’m not sure how much you want to spend per month on rent. I understand that it’s a personal and private matter. So take a look at that apartment, and if it’s not for you, do your homework and try to find other apartments that will allow your dog. I have faith and hope everything works out for you.
